My husband Abdelhay Fadil and I, Julia Fritz share a passion for nature and the diverse gifts that have been given to us by Allah.
Islam is full of God’s gifts and our resulting responsibility to preserve those gifts, to ensure justice in the world, to treat each other well and to be successful people.
This refers to all life areas, to our relationship with people, animals and to the environment. A responsible handling of the own body is also part of it.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any cosmetics that would match the Islamic understanding of what is allowed. Products, which are ‘halal’-certified were often consisting of pure chemistry. And this isn’t matching the general understanding of the word ‘halal’. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have cosmetics who really meet the demanding requirements of Islam?
Therefore I could draw on my husband’s expertise, who produces natural cosmetics and pure argan oil since 2007 with his company Arganpur GmbH as well as on my sister in law Dr. Naima Fadil, who operates in the same professional area and is the founder of a female cooperative in the Dades Valley that produces organic rose water. This is how I was able to develop al balsam natural cosmetics in accordance with the principles of Islam.
It is my wish to create something with ‘al balsam’ that reminds us of the richness and great range of Islam. We have responsibility in all life areas. I want to dedicade these cosmetics to all my sisters and brothers and to our wonderful and comprehensive religion of Islam. These cosmetics are for you:
Natural cosmetics, halal and fair. The word ‘al balsam’ means in Arabic something fragrant, healing. It is something natural and pure.
The name ‘al balsam’ stands for the good from nature that was given to us by Allah in order to maintain and benefit our bodies. Our halal natural cosmetics use the power of herbs and plants to support and restore the beauty of hair and skin.
